Funding and Ceremonies
Funding
The Board depends on donations from the public. However, decisions on suitability for a plaque in no way depend on the availability of funding. Should the Board approve a proposal, the Secretary will discuss potential sources of funding with supporters of the scheme and the specific subject, including the proposers. The expenses to be covered typically include the manufacture of the Blue Plaque, necessary work for its fixing (together approx. £500).
Ceremonies
The Board will arrange publicity for new Blue Plaque and work with its supporters to arrange an unveiling ceremony.
